What you need to know- The Building Safety Act 2022
On the 28th of April 2022 The Building safety Bill received Royal Assent, and has now completed all the parliamentary stages in both Houses to become an Act of Parliament – The Building Safety Act. We welcome the much-needed changes to Building and Fire Safety laws, but do understand that the changes to be enforced throughout this new Act will be a huge undertaking for Property Management Companies, and Property Managers. R2R are expanding and implementing plans to help our clients with changes that need to be made.
The Building Safety Act covers a vast number of areas across the building, maintaining and ongoing safety of buildings, and we know this is a lot to digest, especially when time is of the essence with Fire Safety. Therefore, we have put together this 'What you need to know' document. Which we feel initially covers the main areas that all those involved in Property Management should know.
