This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the incredible women who play a vital role in the fire safety industry. While traditionally a male-dominated field, fire safety is evolving, with more women taking on crucial roles—from fire engineers and surveyors to compliance specialists and on-site technicians. At R2R, we’re proud to have talented women as part of our team, and as one of our Directors, driving progress and setting new standards in the industry.

Breaking Barriers in Fire Safety

The fire safety sector is one of the most critical industries when it comes to protecting lives and properties. Historically, women have been underrepresented in technical and leadership positions, but that is changing. Across the UK, more women are entering fire safety professions, bringing expertise, attention to detail, and innovative problem-solving skills to the field.

At R2R, we’ve seen firsthand how women contribute to our success—from leading inspections, ensuring compliance with ever-changing regulations, and managing complex fire protection projects. Their dedication, knowledge, and leadership are vital to keeping buildings and people safe.

The Role of Women at R2R

At R2R, we believe in creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. The women on our team play key roles in:

  • Fire Door & Fire Stopping Compliance – Conducting surveys, coordinating projects, and ensuring that safety measures meet legal requirements.

  • Project & Site Management – Overseeing fire safety projects to guarantee that installations and remedial work are completed to the highest standard.

  • Client Relations & Compliance Support – Working closely with property managers and contractors to provide expert guidance and tailored fire safety solutions.

Their contributions are not just valuable—they are essential to the work we do.

Encouraging More Women to Join the Industry

As the fire safety industry grows, it’s important to encourage more women to consider careers in this field. Representation matters, and seeing skilled women in leadership positions can inspire the next generation to pursue careers in fire protection, engineering, and safety compliance.

We are committed to supporting and empowering women in our workplace, ensuring they have opportunities to advance, develop their skills, and take on leadership roles. By fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce, we can continue to improve the industry as a whole.

Celebrating Women in Fire Safety

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate not only the women at R2R but all the women working in fire safety. Their expertise, resilience, and commitment help keep people safe every day.

To all the women shaping the future of fire safety—we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re proud to work alongside you.

Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at R2R!
